My name is Theresa Davidson and I accepted Christ several times as a child and as a teenager, however I always questioned my salvation. During those years I lived totally for myself, never living a life of obedience, sacrifice and servant hood to the Savior. This behavior continued as I became an adult. At age 20 I met my husband Chris
in a bar and we eventually moved in together, then in 1989 we were married.
Even though I knew he was the
man I wanted to spend the rest of
my life with, we had much to overcome
because we started our relationship
apart from God. In 1993, we
found out we were expecting our first
child, but then Chris was unexpectedly
laid off due to cutbacks.
I was the one who paid the bills and after three years of trying to juggle everything and finding out we were expecting again, I fell to my knees and cried out to God. I decided then and there that I would pray every morning and every night that God would give Chris a new job. So that’s what I did. Two weeks later, after my bedtime prayer, I heard this voice speak to me. The voice said “Chris will get a new job when you are five to five and a half months pregnant, he will be making twice as much money, and thank the Lord for it now because it’s a done deal!” I sat up in the bed thinking, “Did I just say that to myself”? Immediately I knew the answer was no. Through countless things that happened, every bit of what God told me came true. Chris got a new job as a Supervisor (he had never been a Supervisor before) when I was five months, one week pregnant, and his pay doubled!!
We both were so overwhelmed by Gods faithfulness and his loving-kindness. That is when I went to my bedroom, got on my knees and through tears of joy and awe, totally surrendered my life to Him. There now was a knowing in my heart that I was saved!
Since that time, Chris and I have been on an incredible ride with the King. Our lives have been unbelievable. Life is more real than it has ever been. We know that God is truth and that life with Him is abundant.
I now work with my best friend Tammy Lane who started TLP. God brought us into it together through a shared special time of prayer and fasting. It’s been incredible working with my friend who is really more like my sister. She has incredible faith that God will move mountains, and because of that faith, He has! I have learned so much from her and I am overwhelmed everyday that God has blessed me with her presence in my life.
Lord, may everything I do on this Earth glorify You!
