My name is Tammy Lane. I accepted Christ about when I was 19 years old. My life before Christ was full of drug and alcohol abuse, I searched for happiness in all the wrong places, why am I so miserable I thought, why am I here on this earth? Is there really something to live for? Finally God sent a man into my life; he applied for a job at the place I worked. As we began working together I saw something in him that I didn’t have, he appeared to have something to live for, and he enjoyed life and looked forward to each new day. The only thing I looked forward to was my next high. I began asking him questions, he told me about Jesus and soon after, I found myself asking Jesus to be my savior.
I ended up marrying the man that brought me to Christ. We have been married ever since with four wonderful children and a nephew in our home. The sad thing is that I didn’t totally surrender to Christ when I accepted Him into my heart. I wasted 10 years going my own way instead of obeying God. I didn’t trust God to take care of me. We went through lots of hardship because of it. Finally it dawned on me that the bible says, “God rewards those who earnestly seek him”, so we made a decision to pray, have daily bible study, and go to church, once I surrendered to God and said “okay Lord whatever you want, your will not my own” He took hold of my life and sent me on a great adventure for Him!
I knew nothing of this ministry He would bring me to, He taught me everything! I knew nothing about drama dance filmmaking, ect… I didn’t even know I was capable of doing these things, but God slowly and graciously showed me how to work for Him in each of these areas and gave me a vision for what I am doing today. He is truly an amazing God. Who else can take someone from the depths of despair, wanting to end their life, thinking there is no hope, to a life filled with joy excitement and purpose. Today I am wholly committed to Christ.
I want to say that as I move forward in this ministry my husband is my support, my counselor, my leader, my helper, and my knight in shining armor. He helps guild me through this great adventure God has taken us on.
I also have the help of my devoted friend and co-worker Theresa Davidson; she has been there with me from the start helping me bring this vision to fruition through prayer, fasting, and lots and lots of hard work! Her creative ideas anointed teaching, and leadership skills are indispensable!
