Mission Reality

My Name is Tammy Lane; I am a wife of over 20 years, and a mother of 4 great kids and I live in Southlake, TX.

A few years ago after seeing a documentary on television about people with Leprosy in India I was compelled to do something about it; thus began my quest to help people who cannot help themselves. So, I traveled to Kenya and India, took a team of 8 people with me and filmed a reality show called “Mission Reality “. We visited orphanages, disabled children’s homes, slums and leper colonies to see how we could help them. We had the privilege of feeding the hungry, bringing medical care to the sick, and building a home for the orphans.

I decided to teach others about the joys of helping people in need by giving the team members some money and letting them decide if they wanted to keep the money or if they wanted to use the money to help people in the communities we visited. The result was a wonderful collage of experiences for the team and the Kenyan and Indian people. The show depicts the reality of living in other countries away from your family with people you don’t know very well doing something very difficult. We experienced many joys as well as sorrows together.

Not always seeing eye to eye on things we maneuvered our way through this very difficult task of caring for others in devastating situations. We have also started our first mission reality America show, see links for both below.
